Krishna Pushkaralu will be held from 12th – 23rd of August ,2016. Usually Krishna pushkarams will be held at several banks of the krishna river.These banks are generally called as Ghats.Already both the governments of Telangana and Andhrapradesh have started the arrangements for this festival as this is a 12 days festival so that people will come here from all over India to have a dip in the river to wipe off their sins. The first twelve days of Krishna Pushkaralu 2016 are very important days as they are known as Adi Pushkaram, and the last twelve days are called Anthya Pushkaram.
Vijayawada,Guntur,Krishna,Prakasham ,Kurnool,Nalgonda, Khammam and Mahboobnagar are the places which are likely to witness the festive look. Among all of those Vijayawada of Krishna district is the main place where celebrations are made and famous kanaka durga temple is also located on the banks of Krishna River.
